Preventative Maintenance Facilities and
Businesses with Multiple Facilities

Important BCeID Information

The Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement Branch (CVSE) will replace its current Eform application with a new VIP eForm System in May 2008.

The new VIP application will recall facility information based on the BCeID user ID. Therefore, it is very important that each eForm user log onto the eForm website with his/her own unique user ID to enter inspections. The user ID must be unique to the facility as the combination of the user ID and facility number confirm the authority of the user.

Example:
The legal entity, ACME Automotive Ltd. has a Business BCeID and owns three inspection facilities. The company’s BCeID Business Account Manager will set up sub-user IDs to each person entering inspections on behalf of ACME Automotive Ltd.

Facility numbers:

S1234

(DBA) Parksville Repairs

(BCeID sub-user – jsmith)

(BCeID sub-user – rmiller)

S1235

(DBA) Burnaby Automotive

(BCeID sub-user – bill1234)

S1236

(DBA) Main Street Auto

(BCeID sub-user – rhonda1)

When the user rmiller of Parksville Repairs logs on to the new VIP eForm System the inspection report will be pre-populated with the facility information and number S1234.

When the user rhonda1 logs on to the VIP eForm System, the inspection report will be pre-populated with the facility number S1236 of Main Street Auto.

This is particularly important to Preventative Maintenance Program Facilities. Each PM must ensure that all BCeID users who enter inspections on behalf of their Program have their own sub-user ID under the PM Facility Business ID.
