No Loads Over 3.8 m Wide on Highway 1 in the Lower Mainland

From 216 Street to the Cassiar Tunnel at Highway 7A

The Port Mann Construction Corridor is being negatively impacted by wide load traffic. If you are transporting a wide load, please be aware that you are unsafe over 3.8 m wide in the construction corridor and use an alternate route.

If a load over 3.8 m wide is impossible to re-route, it may travel only on Mondays between 00:01 and 05:00 and only with the confirmation of the construction management team (Devin.Duranleau@pmh1.ca,
604 629-5457 ext 7031).

We strongly encourage you to consider alternate routes for wide loads under 3.8 m wide as well.

Due to a current lack of product availability, vehicles impacted by the diesel retrofit regulation will be made temporarily exempt from this requirement from October 1, 2010 to April 1, 2011, at which time the exemption will be reviewed to determine if products are sufficiently available.

Oversize traffic is prohibited from using the Pattullo Bridgewhich spans the Fraser River between Surrey and New Westminster. This is a permanent restriction.

Oversize permits are no longer valid for transportation across this structure.
